Welcome to VTwin Fitness. My name is Mike and in October of 2009 I was diagnosed with COPD which is an incurable lung disease that was caused by over 30 years of smoking. My lung capacity was 52% and I was fairly obese weighing 234 pounds with 29% body fat. Due to my lung and weight issues I was having a hard time doing anything. Getting off the couch was becoming a major chore. I quit smoking but the damage had already been done. Living in a 2 story house I couldn’t even go upstairs to go to sleep without crawling up the final few steps. I was extremely depressed but it was a cycle that fed into itself. The less active I became, the harder it became to do anything and I felt worse about myself as well. Something had to change.

I was introduced to a couple Coaches for Team Beachbody in October of 2010 who shared with me some of the products they use. One of the Coaches I knew through my job and had seen him changing over a few months and the other one was in incredible shape. I knew I had to do something or I was going to die a slow agonizing miserable death and it wasn’t going to take me very long. I began working out using P90X with these Coaches and very quickly saw the benefits of this program.

After a few workout sessions I was introduced to Shakeology. Shakeology is simply a nutritional shake that is all natural and contains over 70 beneficial ingredients that improve digestion, increase energy levels and prompts your body to be the efficient machine it was designed to be. Shakeology was designed with help from the American Diabetes Association and with a glycemic index of 24 is awesome for diabetics. As a bonus, it tastes really good and there are countless recipes that can be made with either the chocolate or greenberry flavors.

Initially I simply wanted to workout with these guys and improve my health but then I learned of the coaching opportunity and that I would receive a 25% discount on all Beachbody products as a Coach. After seeing how quickly these products started working for me this was a no brainer. Having been a bodybuilder in the past I knew how much money supplements and vitamins cost. Just the discount on the products was well worth the nominal cost of becoming a Coach. The motivation factor that I got from the Coaches also played a major role for me and introduced me to what being a Coach for Beachbody is all about.

In the months since I’ve become a Beachbody Coach I have met hundreds of other Beachbody Coaches at different events and have contacted many of them when I’ve had questions or needed help and they are always ready to help no matter what the issue or question is. Also, Beachbody.com has message boards and chat rooms where we can go share tips or ask questions. Don’t be surprised if Tony Horton, Shaun T. or Chalene Johnson are hanging around the rooms either. Beachbody is truly a company that wants to help people improve the quality of their lives as well as giving the opportunity to earn money sharing results with other people.

As of this writing it’s been almost 7 months since I’ve joined Beachbody. I have been using Shakeology religiously. I also began doing a P90X and Insanity Hybrid workout which I never would have dreamed of being able to do without putting myself in the hospital. I can now jog up and down my stairs without being the least bit winded. My last doctor appointment my lungs were tested at over 70% capacity. As of May 10, 2011 I am 209 pounds with a BMI of 18.4%. I have lost 25 pounds and 10.6% body fat. I am truly blessed to have been introduced to Team Beachbody.

Thanks to P90X, Insanity, Shakeology and Team Beachbody the quality of my life has improved in so many ways and if it just adds one year to my working life I will have gained so much financially and physically. All I can say is that I want to share this incredible opportunity with anyone who just doesn’t know where to start to improve their life or even if you’ve done P90X, Insanity or another Beachbody program and didn’t know about the coaching opportunity I can help you with that too. All it takes is the decision to change your life and the commitment to follow through and your success is almost guaranteed.

These are my transformation pictures so far. The before pictures were taken October 17, 2010. The after pictures were taken October 18, 2011. I still have more work to do but I am coming along nicely and learning a lot along the way. I have also found that coaching other people and helping them achieve their fitness goals is also helping me focus more and put more effort into my programs.
