Introducing Chocolate Vegan Shakeology! Chocolate Vegan Shakeology is the latest flavor in the Beachbody brand which includes Tropical Strawberry Shakeology, Greenberry and original chocolate. Having just come from the Beachbody Coaches Summit and being able to sample this Shakeology all I can say is WOW. This is so good I can’t believe first of all that it’s vegan and second that its’ so much better than the other flavors without being as sweet. Chocolate Vegan Shakeology – What is it and what makes it different?
You never thought Chocolate and vegan could be in same sentence. That is because almost all processed chocolate has whey protein or some sort of milk product attached to it (Milk Chocolate?) The candy bars, chocolate covered ice cream, and all the bad stuff is processed chocolate. The nutrients are hardly there anymore.
In Chocolate Vegan Shakeology, they only use actual natural cacao (which taste like dark chocolate). This is not processed and delivers high levels of flavonoids which is beneficial in heart health, and a potential anti-cancer activity agent.
Just like Tropical Shakeology, Chocolate Vegan Shakeology uses the raw sprouted and bio-fermented brown rice protein. In most chocolate the protein source is whey which is a dairy product, not here.
Why Use Brown Rice Protein?
When a seed sprouts, it transitions from being dormant to active, starting a metabolic growth of nutrition. Vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants all explode; creating awesome stuff that body loves and needs. Sprouting also synthesizes healthy enzymes and increases the quality of the proteins. And it cuts down phytic acid, a substance that negatively reacts with a body’s ability to absorb minerals. Bio-fermenting further breaks down the rice grain, setting off enzymes to make it easier for your body to absorb its vitamins and other nutrients.

Yes! Since the source of protein is a plant based protein you are able to use Chocolate Vegan Shakeology in the Ultimate Reset. Which is great on my end because although Tropical is a good mix up – chocolate is my go to for Shakeology.
What does Chocolate Vegan Shakeology taste like?
I was fortunate enough to try it at the 2012 Beachbody Summit and it had a banana and peanut butter so it really taste pretty similar to the regular chocolate Shakeology. So to answer this question, like little drops of heaven.
