Reset Week 2
So week 2 of the Beachbody Ultimate Reset is in the books. First part of the week was pretty awful. Headaches on and off and felt extremely lethargic until about day 11. I believe I wasn’t drinking enough water all along so I upped my water intake to about 1 1/2 gallons per day. This is much more than the recommended amount which for me would be about 100 oz. per day. It seems that the more water I’m drinking the better I feel so I’m going to continue drinking 1 1/2 to 2 gallons a day.
The meals for week 2 were mostly pretty incredible. There were some that I could do without and will not ever make again but there are others that I will add into my regular nutrition. I’ve really started streamlining my preparation and reduced the time a bit that I’m spending in the kitchen. Now that I’m able to think a little more clearly it’s easier to plan and prepare although I’m still not totally clear. Also, my energy level is about what it was before starting the reset. I am sleeping less mostly due to getting up 3-4 times to use the bathroom from all the water but I do feel more energized when I do wake up.
Week 3 shopping is going to be lighter due to having several of the items already and only going with veggies for the meals for the most part. Some of them look intriguing and others well let’s just say I am not looking forward to them. We’ll see how it works out.
As far as results go I have dropped further weight. Weight has gone from 200.2 to 191.8 this week. Body fat has gone from 16.8% to 14.9%.
Overall very pleased with the results although more energy would be good. Hopefully after this is over and I continue eating a more balanced and healthy whole food diet the energy will come. I really am craving some good steaks and coffee which is weird since I don’t really even eat red meat much anymore. Oh well I’ll be listening to my body more closely which is one major benefit of this reset. The ability for the body to tell me what it needs. Hopefully it will keep craving the whole foods and not garbage. So far so good on that end. I don’t want sugar or things like that. Well, onto week 3 and what’s to come.
